Our policies and procedures are in line with the Equalities Act 2010 and the Equality Duty which provides legal protection for employees and families from discrimination, harassment and victimisation. The Equality Act 2010 sets out nine protected characteristics and these are central to our policy. The characteristics are age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
